Playing with goats, rabbits

Children, elderly, disabled people – almost everyone is happy with our rabbits and dwarf goats. Opposite the reception you can see them at the playground equipment and you can just walk between the animals. Feel free to bring a piece of bread; the animals will eat right out of your hand. And did you know that the animals are lovingly cared for by people with disabilities?

Spotting 'goldfish'

Discover the colorful inhabitants of our pond; see the 360-degree photo below. When you walk to the edge, orange and white fish will swim towards you. They look like giant goldfish! By coming towards you, they like to say hello in their own way. Sit down on a bench or roll your wheelchair to the small pavilion on the other side.

Purple 'heather blanket' in autumn

About 100 meters from our park it surprises you around August/September: the purple heather. It covers the estate like a beautiful natural blanket. The warm color announces autumn. If you pay close attention, you will also see the first mushrooms. The red fungus with white dots quickly stands out between the forest villas, trees and leaves.

Have you ever looked at the white inkcap up close? As it ages, the ink turns this mushroom black.

Discover tracks on your shoes

In late summer and autumn, you can also more easily discover animal tracks in the wetter ground. So put on your sturdy walking shoes and go out to discover all this beauty. At the reception you will find the special search card to search for which track belongs to which animal. Or go to our special autumn page.

Squirrel and deer all year round

We can promise that you will find a lot of peace and nature in our park, but how do you know that this is true? Well, the squirrels prove that for example. It is not a question of whether you will see them around your forest villa, but when. They swing from branch to branch and hop across your terrace, while you are sitting inside. You even run the risk of coming face to face with a deer. If that is not peace and nature …!

Strolling through the leaves

In the winter, animals are more likely to look for food. Then you can see the brown-red plume tail of the squirrels extra well on your terrace. This is also a nice time to trudge between the leaves with your boots. Whether you want a short or longer nature walk, you will always enjoy yourself here between the trees and animals. Take a look at our special winter page.

Did you know that you can find animals here in every season, even at night? Track them down using the special search card ‘Animals of the night’, available at reception.

Spring is in full swing with woodpecker and other birds

Of course, a forest has birds. For example, owls regularly breed here. Do you see a kind of 'dung balls' on the ground? There is a good chance that these are owl balls and that you are near a nest. Birds that you mainly hear 'hammering' on a tree here are the great spotted woodpecker and the green woodpecker. Their colours make them blend in beautifully with nature, so it is sometimes difficult to see them. Above all, follow the sound!

Recognize the tree by the bud

In spring, the trees also get beautiful buds again. Can you recognize which tree species it is? Prove it using the search card about tree buds and the card about birds, which you can find at the reception. Or go to our special web page for more spring information.

Summer full of butterflies, bumblebees and dragonflies

Thanks to the many flowering shrubs such as the rhododendron in our park, you will find many butterflies here. Especially in the summer it is a colourful splendour thanks to the blossom and the cheerful flutterers. And if you look closely at our pond, you will also see the dragonflies rushing by. They move their wings so quickly that you do not hear or see them move.

Do you also know the difference between bees, bumblebees and other honey-eating insects? Ask at the reception for the search cards about all these animals. Or check out our special summer page.
